HIGHLIGHTS
Canadian-Romanian conductor Andrei Feher has earned a reputation for his musical maturity and integrity, natural authority on the podium, and an imaginative and intelligent approach to programming. In 2018, at age 26, Feher was appointed Music Director of the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony, making him one of the youngest to lead a major Canadian orchestra.
Feher’s 2024/25 Season features debut appearances with Orchestre classique de Montréal, Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra, Orchestre symphonique de Drummondville, Filarmonica Brașov, Filarmonica Banatul Timișoara and renewed visits to the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, Orchestre symphonique de Québec, Orchestre symphonique de Laval, Hamilton Philharmonic, Nova Scotia Symphony and Filarmonica Transilvania. Feher is also a guest of the Musicians of the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony, Les Ondes Plurielles in Paris and teacher of conducting at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal.
Currently working on – Brahms’ Second Symphony, Handel’s Messiah, Ravel’s String Quartet, Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony and many more works. Also swimming a lot and running after his two young sons.
“It was nourishing for the heart and the spirit to see [Feher] conduct. He seemed as a dancer who is completely inspired, strong, agile, passionate and yet completely in control.”
